The 4 L's of Luscious Living
What is luscious living to you? Is it about being bold and gutsy and going for your dreams? Or is it about slowing down and really experiencing your life as a delicious feast? In this interactive playshop, we'll be doing experiential exercises that explore the 4 L's of Luscious Living: Luxuriating, Listening, Learning and Loving. We'll look at ways of cultivating those qualities more in our life and build our life around them.

Chocolate isn't Fattening, Self-Criticism is

One of the greatest deterrents to letting go of weight and maintaining a healthy lifestyle is the chronic "Itty Bitty Committee" in our heads.  The "Itty Bitty Committee" is always evaluating, making us wrong, and setting up rigid rules about the way things  “should be,” or making an excuse for why it can never be. “In Chocolate Isn’t Fattening; Self-Criticism Is,” we not only look at the vicious cycle that self-judgment creates with both food and negative thinking, but we integrate FUN, yes, FUN ways to work through it. We also identify the important role your emotions play in overeating and give your overeater a new job, so it can become more effective and you can cut yourself some slack.

Once we have accomplished silencing your inner critics, we can fine-tune your personal vision, which will inspire you to keep on track with achieving your goals.

Overfed but Undernourished: Starving at the Banquet of Life

Have you ever gone to a buffet with the most sumptuous fare in the world, only to find that by the time you put your fourth or fifth selection on the plate, it all starts to meld together and by the third or fourth trip, all you want to do is let out your pants and go to sleep?

Metaphorically, that is what’s happening on a global level. We fill our lives with activities, commitments and a "things to do" list that rivals the size of the New York Yellow Pages. We are over-stimulated as a culture, busying ourselves out of our lives, and the price we’re paying is feeling stuffed but not full-filled.

In this workshop, we lampoon the "more is still not enough" concept that rules most of our lives.  We will look at practical and creative ways to create simplicity and add scintillation into our lives.  You will learn the difference between  fear- and love-based action; when to implement the 3 D’s (delegate, delineate or ditch); take in the riches that are already present in your life; and to start prioritizing your life around your deepest values, interests, and passions.
